In the 94th minute, pure elation erupted for Chelsea and caretaker boss Calum McFarlane as Enzo Fernández forced home a last-gasp equaliser. The goal left Pep Guardiola howling at the heavens and gifted the temporary Chelsea manager a truly golden moment. On paper, Guardiola versus McFarlane was the Premier League's greatest managerial mismatch, making the recollection of Fernández's crucial intervention one to warm the 40-year-old for years to come.

A Stark Contrast in Pedigree

On the City bench stood the generation's pre-eminent figure, a man with four decades of silverware for elite clubs Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City, overseeing his 1,012th match.
