President Trump Welcomes Loved Ones of Injured Military Members to the White House

Former President Trump revealed on Sunday that he has extended an invitation the relatives of a Guard member killed last week to come to the executive mansion.

He mentioned that he contacted her family and they were “heartbroken”.

Details on the Devastating Incident

Soldier Beckstrom, twenty years old, was killed in a shooting on last Wednesday in the nation's capital.

Her fellow service member, Staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, continues receiving treatment in serious condition.

Gatherings across West Virginia have taken place in their memory.

Presidential Offer

The commander-in-chief stated he’s talked about a White House visit for the families of both soldiers of the state Guard.

“I told them: ‘When you’re able, because that’s a difficult moment, arrive at the White House. We’re going to honor Sarah,” the president informed the press. “And likewise with him, whether he recovers or not.”

Community Response

Community members assembled over the weekend at a local school in West Virginia to honor Sarah.

Both they had been serving with the military unit as part of Trump’s government program to assist policing efforts in DC.

Remembering the Soldier

“She was the kind of student that teachers desired. She behaved with inner fortitude, a contagious smile and a upbeat demeanor that inspired those around her,” Jarrod Hankins, the head of Beckstrom’s previous school, stated to the press. “She was sweet, considerate and always ready to assist people.”

Funeral details for Sarah are yet to be finalized.

Judicial Measures and Government Adjustments

Law enforcement have accused a 29-year-old individual from Afghanistan with a charge of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder while armed.

The event led the Trump administration to halt refugee claims and halt granting visas to holders of Afghan passports.

Status of Andrew Wolfe

Andrew Wolfe, a resident of Martinsburg, began his service in 2019 and is a graduate of Musselman high school, according to the Associated Press.

He is still undergoing care and is “in a critical fight”, the state’s leader Morrisey stated on a news program.

Attorney general Pam Bondi stated on the program that she aimed to visit Wolfe’s family.

Memory of the Fallen Soldier

Sarah, from Summersville, graduated from her high school in mid-2023 and enlisted soon after, serving as a law enforcement officer with excellence, according to the West Virginia National Guard.

“She had a lot of kindness and she definitely had bravery,” the governor told the audience at the service. “Though her time was cut short, she has created a legacy that’s going to endure.”
