Satellite Imagery Depict Iran's Navy and Atomic Sites Struck by Joint US and Israeli Military Action.

A wave of joint airstrikes has reportedly sunk or crippled at least eleven warships belonging to Iran since the weekend, freshly analyzed orbital imagery show, with launch facilities and nuclear sites also sustaining hits.

Images of the southerly Konarak military port and the Bandar Abbas port facility, which is located on the strategic Hormuz Strait and is home to the headquarters of the Iran's naval force, reveal plumes of smoke rising from a number of ships on recent days.

Maritime Fleet Incurred Major Losses

Among the targets eliminated was the IRINS Makran, Iran's largest naval vessel which had been used as a drone carrier. Orbital photos showed black smoke pouring from the ship which had been docked at the Bandar Abbas naval base.

Intelligence assessments indicate that no fewer than five vessels at the port were "damaged or eliminated". Imagery of the southern end of the port reveal plumes ascending from the Makran, while additional ships seem to be impacted, with a single one visibly ablaze.

At the Konarak base, photos show numerous harmed ships, with analysis identifying strikes against a half-dozen warships. Pictures from Monday also demonstrate that several structures at the installation have been leveled.

"For a long time the Iran's leadership has disrupted global maritime traffic," an American commander stated. "Today, there is not a single Iranian ship underway in the Persian Gulf, Hormuz Strait or Sea of Oman, and we will continue."

Some ships allegedly destroyed may have been hidden in satellite images by weather conditions or battle damage, or struck at sea, and have not been conclusively proven. Additional information stated that a ship from Iran was foundering off the coast of Sri Lanka's waters, prompting a search and rescue mission.

Missile Installations and Atomic Facilities Attacked

Eliminating Iranian missile bases and the prevention of nuclear weapons development were declared as other goals of the offensive. Satellite images also showed damage at the southerly Khorgu base and northwestern Tabriz missile missile bases, and at the Konarak base, where missile storage facilities and fortifications were targeted.

Over at the Choqa Balk-e drone base west of the city of Kermanshah, significant destruction was identified to sheds, bunkers and unmanned aircraft systems.

Damage was also noted at a radar installation at the Zahedan airbase airbase in eastern parts of the country, close to the border with neighboring nations.

Perhaps most notably, the latest wave of strikes have reportedly hit installations at Natanz – widely believed to be at the core of Iran's atomic program. An international watchdog stated that the damaged buildings were used for entry to the facility's below-ground enrichment facility and that "no radiological consequence" was anticipated.

Broader Consequences and Analysis

Military analysts indicated that the strikes appeared to have "largely neutralized" the Iran's naval capability to carry out conventional attacks using its most significant warships. However, it was emphasised that Iran maintains the option to launch irregular strikes at sea through the use of drones, mini-submarines and its so-called "ghost fleet" of tankers.

The overall scope of the damage caused to Iran's defense facilities remains unclear, with attacks said to be ongoing. Photos also reveals widespread destruction to the command center of the Iran's Revolutionary Guards in the capital Tehran.

A large number of public facilities also are reported to have been struck in the capital and across Iran since the conflict escalated. Reports of deaths from local officials indicate that a high number of civilians may have been lost their lives in the bombardment.

With the conflict ongoing, review of satellite imagery will persist to assess the evolving military landscape.
