Spurs supporters who booed goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario were told later "those individuals cannot be true Tottenham supporters" by boss Frank.

Tottenham conceded a pair of goals in the first initial moments to lose 2-1 to their opponents, marking their 10th top-flight at home defeat of 2025.

But the primary talking point was the visitors' next score when Vicario gave away the ball well beyond his area.

The goalkeeper came out to deal with a high pass and carried the ball near the touchline.

However, rather than booting it out of play, the Italian turned and attempted to clear away, but lost his footing as the ball glanced off Harry Wilson and was collected by King.

The forward laid the ball off to Wales midfielder Wilson, who curled a strike into the goal from the sideline recorded at 36.6 yards.

Seconds later when the ball went to the keeper again, a number of Spurs supporters jeered him.

Spurs were jeered off at the interval, with the club 2-0 behind, and again at the final whistle.

One of those jeering sessions truly angered Frank.

"It came to my attention a few of our supporters reportedly jeered the incident and booed after, which, in my view is totally unjustifiable," the Dane commented about the supporters' reaction to his shot-stopper.

"Those individuals cannot be real Spurs fans that do that. Fair enough jeering following the match, no problem, but when we are playing, we are backing each other, we are behind each other moving ahead."

Tete had given Fulham a early lead before Harry Wilson's strike – with Kudus scoring for Spurs in an better second period showing.

Former top-flight keeper Joe Hart remarked that the next goal was "totally preventable".

"I certainly understand the supporters' frustration," Hart added. "I know the part Vicario is performing. He is a great squad member, he is a true figure in the dressing room but in the end you are going to be judged by your decisions.

"He was deeply involved in what turned out to be the winning score."

'It's In the Game, I'm a Big Man'

Italian international the keeper is in his third season with Tottenham.

The 29-year-old said after the game that he had to take the criticism.

"That goal was a error of mine, I accept accountability for that," he said.

"The intent was to kick the ball far and I simply hit the ball in a bad way. It was an more difficult mountain to overcome."

He said receiving jeers "is part of football".

"I'm a big man, how can I respond?" he continued. "The team can't be influenced by the situation in the crowd. Supporters have the right to do what they think.

"It's on the team to remain increasingly calm, to concentrate on ourselves. We are lacking in composure and poise to overturn results. This match is a poor defeat and it is hard to accept."

'I Was Surprised No One Went Back to the Goal Line'

Despite Vicario's error, it was far from an easy score for Wilson to convert.

Actually it was the next most distant Premier League goal of the campaign – after Tyler Adams' 43.3 metre strike for Bournemouth against Sunderland, which incidentally also came on the same day.

Wilson said he was "a little bit taken aback" that he still had an empty net to target.

Ten moments passed between the keeper coming out of his area and Wilson shooting – which was 5 seconds following the clearance.

"I felt like the keeper was away from the area for ages," Wilson remarked.

"It amazed me none of the back four went back to the goal line. When not one of them covered the goal, my interest sparked a bit.

"Udogie fell too, which allowed me a little extra opportunity. After that it was all about trying to achieve the correct contact and get it towards goal. I felt a good feeling, the moment it left my foot, that it was on the right line."

'During in a Poor Run, Everything Appears to Go Against You'

Although the keeper's error dominated coverage, this was an all-round bad performance for Spurs to extend their home ground struggles.

The match was their tenth at home loss of the year in the Premier League, a shared team record along with nineteen ninety-four and two thousand and three.

The side still have home fixtures against the manager's former club the Bees and champions the Reds to play before the close of the year.

Only one of those victories have occurred since Frank replaced his predecessor in the summer.

"When you're down 2-0 following six minutes, there is a mountain to overcome," stated the boss.

"During in a bad spell, all aspects appears to go against you as well – the first was a deflected shot, the second is a error from the keeper.

"The outcome puts us in a position where we have suffered an additional match. Every game has a single narrative, this game we lost in the early stages.

"We just need to continue striving. The later period was significantly improved and hopefully an aspect we can utilize to learn."
