Three In Contention for Young Athlete of the Year Prize

English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the upcoming Young Sports Star of the Year award.
These three athletes have been celebrated for their outstanding achievements over the last year.
Agyemang helped the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the very first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a unprecedented innings.
Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his sensational debut year.
The three contenders were announced live on a national radio breakfast show.
This year's winner will be announced during a live broadcast on the annual sports awards show on December 18th.
The event will be broadcast from 7 PM GMT.
The Football Star

A mere three months after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to winning the Euros.
She came off the bench to score crucial late equalisers in both the knockout stage games.
Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.
Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the finest emerging star on the continent.
She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.
Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.
"To be named a finalist for this award is a privilege," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."
The Darts Prodigy

Littler kicked off the year in sensational style as - at just 17 years old - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.
He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.
And he wasn't finished there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the maiden occasion.
At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, shattering the previous record.
"Earning a spot on the shortlist for the honour once more is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a proud moment for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."
Perrin's Profile

Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and surged to prominence with an remarkable and historic innings in August.
Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.
It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.
Perrin came in second place in the season's run tally and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.
